Cervical Cancer Awareness Month which is marked in January is a powerful reminder of the importance of early screening and proactive health choices. Cervical cancer remains one of the most preventable forms of cancer when detected early, yet it continues to affect thousands of women worldwide.
In 2022, more than 660 000 women are estimated to have been diagnosed with cervical cancer worldwide and about 350 000 women are estimated to have died from the disease (World Health Organization, 2026)
